Education

  • Responsible for all Bible classes and assignment of teachers to the various classes;
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training and assignment of teachers to various classes;
  • Work in close collaboration with the preachers (automatic members of the committee) to provide lessons for all the various classes.
  • Planning and coordination of all educational activities for various groupings;
  • Responsible for planning and execution of annual lectureships.

Objectives

The Missions Ministry has an international and national evangelistic focus designed to assist the church in fulfilling Jesus’ recorded words “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation” (Mark 16:15) “…baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). The ministry is led by a servant leader approved by the elders and is composed of an open committee of member volunteers who have a passion for missions. The committee operates in consultation with the elders. Funds for the support of missions come from sister congregations. The missions committee recommends to the elders and the church how mission funds are distributed each year after the annual collection.

 

THE FUNCTIONS OF THE MISSION MINISTRY ARE:

1. To create a culture of support for missions and missionaries among  Church members. This includes facilitating relationships and a sense of engagement between supported missions/missionaries and Church members by sharing missions-related information, prayer requests, and presentations of missionaries with the Church.

2. To respond to requests for missions support. This includes making recommendations to the elders regarding the allocation of Church mission’s funds.

3. To provide mental, physical, spiritual, and financial support to supported missions/missionaries through prayer, phone/email communication, and financial contributions.


OBJECTIVE OF MISSION MINISTRY

The objective of the ministry is to rescue souls that are perishing and take a good care of them. The ministry is made up of five {5} Committees.

  • INSTITUTIONAL EVANGELISM
  • MEDIA EVANGELISM
  1. OUTREACH EVANGELISM { EXTERNAL }
  • Taking care of the Churches Nsawam Road Church has establish both outside Accra and in.
  • Recruitment and supervision of the mission point preachers and their welfare.
  • Planting of new churches.
  • Follow up on new congregations.
  • Designing programmes for growth and maturity for the churches.
  • Organization of gospel campaigns.
  • Coordinating of activities of all new churches and updating the elders accordingly.
  • Planning and coordination of programmes and projects that incidental to soul winning for example school projects {Kpala}
  1. OUTREACH EVANGELISM { INTERNAL }
  • Preaching at market centers.
  • Mobilize for local evangelism.
  • Organize bring a fiends day.
  • Follow up on prospects that show interest in market preaching.
  • To revamping the evangelism drive among brethren.
  1. INSTITUTIONAL EVANGELISM COMMITTEE
  • Responsible for prisons, Hospitals and schools evangelism.
  • Periodic benevolence for inmates.
  • Integration of ex-convicts into the society.
  • Provision of assistance to ex-convicts.
  • Follow up on prospects who show interest in prisons,Hospitals and schools.

4.MEDIA EVANGELISM COMMITTEE

  • Responsible for Radio, Television, Internet and Print/Literature evangelism.
  • Preparation of topics to be broadcast on the media.
  • Assignment of resource persons to handle the programmes.
  • Follow up on prospects who show interest as a result of the media programmes.

5.INTERNATIONAL EVANGELISM COMMITTEE

  • Supervision for Mali, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan and Yendi project etc.
  • The Committeeliaise with the elders and sponsor churches Abroad.
  • Coordination of activities and updating the elders accordingly.

Nsawam road church of Christ is autonomous Christian congregation associated with one another through a common beliefs and practices. The Church of Christ is the Body of Christ comprising human beings who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord after believing the Word preached to them, repented of past sins, confessed the Lord and have been baptized, and consequently been added to the Church by the Lord.

Our doctrine and practices are based on the bible alone and seek to be a New Testament congregations as originally established by the authority of Christ.

We’re a church called by Jesus Christ to teach, serve and witness in love to our community and to one another. Our desire is to know Jesus more fully and to make him more fully known as the spirit transform our live into Christ character.

Acknowledging the gospel call hearing the expressed needs and desire of the congregation. Our church is a very special, family-like, lively and multi-cultural community. We have a broad and diverse congregation both in terms of its focus and membership equipped and prepared to achieve fuller understanding of god’s word cultivated a deeper fellowship with one another.
